With experience in both Organic Synthesis and Computational Organic Chemistry, I thrive in collaborative environments and have a strong teamwork ethic. My goal is to apply my skills and laboratory experience to advance the field of chemistry, contributing my knowledge and expertise to the implementation and development of scientific research.

Education

As a PhD candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, I focus on Computational Organic Chemistry for my Master’s thesis and Organic Synthesis for my undergraduate thesis. These areas have honed my ability to tackle complex chemical problems and innovate within the field.

Professional Experience

I have had the opportunity to work with prominent researchers such as Thomas Mavromoustakos, Demeter Tzeli, and Vasso Apostolopoulos, collaborating on various research projects. My industry experience includes engaging in consultancy and industry-sponsored projects that focus on innovative chemical applications. I am also an active member of the Association of Greek Chemists, where I contribute to the community through knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Research and Innovations

My research projects encompass a range of topics, including in silico and spectroscopic studies on (thio)semicarbazones and (thio)carbohydrazones, investigating their potential biological effects. I have conducted DFT calculations on sartans related to COVID-19 and on polymers, contributing significantly to the field of Computational Chemistry. With 57 citations from 46 documents, I have authored 16 journal articles in indexed journals and contributed to a book with ISBN 978-0-443-18564-9. I have collaborated with international institutions like the University of Utrecht and the University of Helsinki, advancing areas such as Drug Design, NMR Spectroscopy, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Science, and Medicinal Chemistry.
