Currently serving as Research Manager at the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, he leads national data systems and biodiversity initiatives, including AfrOBIS. His expertise spans OAIS-compliant data systems, marine modeling, and geospatial analytics. A PhD candidate in Physical Oceanography at the University of Cape Town, his research focuses on marine connectivity and species dispersal.
