Prof. Tomasz Zatoński is a distinguished otolaryngologist and Associate Professor at the Medical University of Wrocław, Poland, currently serving as Vice-Rector for University Communications and Head of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He earned his MD from the Medical University of Wrocław, followed by specialization in otolaryngology, a doctoral degree on DNA ploidy analysis in laryngeal cancer, and a habilitation focusing on the role of HPV and cell cycle proteins in head and neck carcinogenesis. With a prolific research profile, Prof. Zatoński has authored 112 documents cited 1,551 times by 1,530 documents and holds an h-index of 20. His research interests focus on HPV-associated head and neck cancers, surgical oncology, endolaryngeal microsurgery, tumor markers, and carcinogenesis mechanisms. He has participated in numerous international observerships, teaching courses, and conferences in the USA, India, Israel, and Europe, and has been recognized with multiple awards for teaching, research, and service, including honors from the Medical University of Wrocław and the Minister of Health. Prof. Zatoński leads and contributes to significant national and international grants, including population cohort studies and biomedical research projects.
