Mr. Hicham Kacimi-nacir | Materials science | Research Excellence Award
Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France | France
Hicham Kacimi Naciri is a doctoral researcher in materials chemistry specializing in the design and development of ceramic and piezoelectric materials for battery and sensor applications. He holds a master’s degree in physical chemistry of materials and is pursuing doctoral research under a Morocco–France co-supervision framework in materials science. His expertise combines experimental synthesis and advanced characterization of perovskites, ceramics, and bioglasses with first-principles theoretical modeling. He is proficient in density functional theory tools such as Wien2K, CASTEP, Gaussian, and GaussView for investigating piezoelectric, ferroelectric, optical, mechanical, and thermoelectric properties. His experimental skills include X-ray diffraction, atomic absorption spectroscopy, impedance analysis, laser granulometry, and piezoelectric and ferroelectric measurements. Hicham has contributed to a scientific book chapter and a peer-reviewed journal article, and regularly presents his research through oral and poster communications at international conferences and academic seminars. He is fluent in Arabic, French, and English, and is known for his autonomy, adaptability, teamwork, and strong problem-solving abilities
