Lovel Fornah holds a PhD candidacy in Epidemiology and Health Statistics from Shandong University, China, where he is working on his thesis titled “Spatiotemporal Analysis of HIV Prevalence, Testing Uptake, and Loss to Follow-Up after Initiation of Antiretroviral Therapy in Sierra Leone.” He completed his Master of Public Health (MPH) at Southeast University, China, in 2018, with a focus on the interaction between hypermethylation and environmental factors in esophageal cancer. Lovel’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biological Sciences from Njala University, Sierra Leone, where he explored gastrointestinal parasitism in marine fish.
