Yuanchao Yang began his academic journey with a keen interest in physics, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Tsinghua University in 2004. Driven by a passion for research and scientific exploration, he pursued further studies and completed his Ph.D. in Physics at Tsinghua University in 2009. These formative years laid the foundation for his future contributions to the field of pressure and vacuum metrology.

Professional Endeavors:

Since July 2009, Dr. Yang has been an integral part of the National Institute of Metrology (NIM), China, serving as a Researcher in the Pressure and Vacuum Lab. His commitment to advancing the field led to his appointment as the Head of the Pressure and Vacuum Lab at NIM in January 2018, a position he currently holds. His dedication to the field is further highlighted by his roles as a Guest Researcher at renowned institutions, including the Vacuum Group at PTB, Germany (July 2017 to October 2017), and the Sensor Science Division at NIST, USA (April 2015 to April 2016).

Contributions and Research Focus:

Dr. Yang's research activities center around pressure and vacuum metrology, with a particular emphasis on optical pressure standards utilizing Fabry-Perot cavity-based refractometers and piston gauges. His expertise extends to being the delegation of NIM in the CCM working group of pressure and vacuum, as well as APMP TCM. Additionally, he contributes to the field as a member of the IMEKO TC16 (pressure and vacuum), showcasing his commitment to collaborative efforts and international standards in metrology.

Xin Qian embarked on his academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering from Jinggangshan University, graduating in June 2021 with a commendable GPA of 3.00. During his undergraduate period, he undertook major courses in Software Engineering, C Language Programming, Data Structure, and Principles of Computer Composition, laying the foundation for his subsequent specialization in the field.

His pursuit of academic excellence continued as he furthered his education at Chongqing University of Science and Technology, where he is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Safety Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence. The specialized courses include Advanced Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Optimization Theory and Method, and Scientific Paper Writing, contributing to a notable graduate GPA of 3.48.

Professional Endeavors:

Xin Qian's early professional experiences include a research assistant role at Hunan Zhongke Information Technology Research Institute from April to July 2020. Following this, he served as a postgraduate research assistant at Chongqing University of Science and Technology from September 2021 to June 2022. Demonstrating growth and expertise, he later assumed the position of Deep Learning Lead for Horizontal Projects at the Graphics, Image, and Data Analysis Research Laboratory from September 2022 to September 2023.

Xin Qian's research interests are primarily centered around Computer Vision and Medical Assisted Diagnosis. His focus areas include medical image analysis, model uncertainty quantification, target recognition, and tracking. Notably, he has published four journal papers, with a key emphasis on medical image classification and skin cancer image identification using advanced techniques such as Dynamic Multi-scale Convolutional Neural Networks and Self-Interactive Attention Pyramid.
