Dr. Rajendra Babu H began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science (CBZ), followed by a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Library and Information Science from Bangalore University. He further pursued post-master’s training in “IT Applications to Library and Information Services” at the National Centre for Science Information (NCSI), Indian Institute of Science (IISc). His Ph.D. research, titled “Use of Open Access Journals for Scholarly Communication in Life Sciences: A Study”, was completed under Dr. Chandrashekara. M, at the University of Mysore.

With over 19 years of professional experience, Dr. Babu has worked in academic institutions and multinational companies. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Studies and Research in Library and Information Science, Tumkur University. His corporate tenure includes roles at HLL, GE, Capco, Symphony Services Corporation, and Wipro Technologies, where he developed and managed world-class information and knowledge centers.

Dr. Babu’s research focuses on open access, knowledge management, and IT integration in library science.
