Dr. Abdulrazzaq Hammal is a distinguished faculty member at the University of Aleppo, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Department of Basic Sciences (Industrial Chemistry), specializing in industrial chemistry, nanochemistry, building materials, natural raw materials, and water treatment. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry (2008), Master’s in Applied Chemistry with a focus on Inorganic Industries (2012), and PhD in Applied Chemistry – Inorganic Industries (2017), all from the University of Aleppo. With more than 40 publications in international and regional journals, his research has advanced innovative solutions in ceramic membranes, nanomaterials, water purification, and biomedical applications, garnering significant academic impact with an h-index of 3, over 18 citations, and more than 7 documents indexed in Scopus and Google Scholar. Dr. Hammal has contributed to international conferences across Syria, Iraq, and Malaysia, also serving as Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Fourth Chemistry Conference at the University of Aleppo. His innovative research has been recognized with multiple honors, including the Best Invention Award at Al-Basil Exhibition (2018), the Best Research Award from Aleppo University (2018), and medals from the ARID platform (2020–2022). Dedicated to mentoring, organizing workshops, and leading the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in Chemistry, Dr. Hammal continues to contribute impactful research toward sustainable industrial and environmental solutions.
