Dr Mohammad Nikbin embarked on his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in General Geology from the Department of Geology at the Faculty of Science, University of Ferdowsi, Mashhad, Iran, completing it from September 2012 to June 2016. He continued his academic pursuits by obtaining a Master of Science in Sedimentology and Sedimentary Petrology from the same institution, graduating in June 2019. Following this, he pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Reservoir Sedimentology, completing his Ph.D. in October 2023.

During his academic journey, Dr Mohammad gained valuable professional experience. He served as a Research Assistant at the Oil and Gas Research Institute, Petroleum Geology and Petroleum Engineering, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran, from October 2020 to the present. Notably, he contributed to projects such as the "Rock Physics Atlas of Iranian Main Formation" and the "Quantitative interpretation (Q.I.) of Abadan Plain, SW Zagros Basin."
