Dr. Yang Peng is an accomplished epidemiologist and Research Fellow at the Epidemiology Division, Cancer Council Victoria, with a strong focus on population health, cardiovascular disease, and cancer epidemiology. He earned his PhD in Epidemiology from The University of Queensland, Australia, following an MMed in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, China, and a BMed in Clinical Medicine from Hebei Medical University, China. Dr. Peng’s professional experience spans roles in cardiovascular outcomes research, Indigenous cancer survival studies, and large-scale international cohort analyses, involving data from over 2 million participants across multiple cohorts. His expertise includes statistical analysis of large-scale linked data, systematic review, meta-analysis, and advanced use of statistical software such as Stata, SAS, and SPSS. Dr. Aseem Mishra is a Professor and Surgeon of Surgical Oncology and currently heads Head and Neck Services at the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Centre & Tata Memorial Centre, Varanasi. Trained at premier institutions, he completed his MBBS from Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences, MS (ENT) from Grants Medical College with a university 3rd rank, and MCh in Head and Neck Surgery from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. His professional journey spans roles as Senior Resident, Clinical Fellow, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor, reflecting over a decade of dedicated service in head and neck oncology. Dr. Mishra’s clinical expertise includes comprehensive management of head and neck cancers, mandibular reconstruction, post-treatment surveillance, and outcomes research. His research interests focus on oral cancer epidemiology, early detection strategies, tobacco and polysubstance use, imaging-based response assessment, and multidisciplinary treatment approaches. He has contributed extensively to peer-reviewed literature, with 59 documents, 902 citations across 871 citing documents, and an h-index of 16, including publications in Cancer, Journal of Clinical Oncology, BMC Oral Health, and other high-impact journals. He has participated in landmark randomized trials and multi-centre epidemiological studies.
