Dr. Matap Shankar began his academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Honours from Kurseong College, North Bengal University, West Bengal. He successfully completed his Higher Secondary education from Pushpa Rani Roy Memorial School, Kurseong, and his Secondary education from St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Dilaram Darjeeling.

His doctoral thesis, titled "Ulam-Hyers and Lyapunov Stability for Some Classes of Fractional Differential Equations and Difference Equations," showcases his dedication to advancing knowledge in the field.
