He also holds an M.S. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural and Infrastructure Materials Engineering from Texas State University, where he explored the incorporation of high-volume fly ash to produce structural lightweight concrete. Tijani completed his B.S. in Civil Engineering at Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, alongside a diploma in the Ukrainian language.

Currently, Tijani is an Associate Engineer at the Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation. He has also served as a Doctoral Teaching Assistant at Texas State University, where he was involved in teaching and mentoring students. Tijani gained valuable industry experience as a Materials Scientist Intern at Solidia Technologies and has held project management roles at the Ministry of Special Initiative, GH, and Engen Ghana Limited.

Tijani’s research interests focus on the durability of sustainable and alternative cement-based materials (ACMs), exploring the use of supplementary cementing materials (SCMs), and effectively utilizing locally available materials in concrete. He is particularly interested in the application of rapid-setting and novel cements for accelerated infrastructure construction and is dedicated to developing and improving durability performance methods and specifications for cement and concrete. His work also involves the implementation of emerging technologies and advanced sensing systems for the multi-scale characterization and modeling of infrastructure materials, as well as long-term performance and structural health monitoring of infrastructure systems.

Tijani has received numerous awards for his academic and research excellence, including the 2024 Graduate College’s Outstanding Dissertation Award in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and Engineering at Texas State University. Mrs. Poonam Ramchandra Mandale embarked on her academic journey with a fervent passion for chemical engineering, which eventually led her to pursue a Ph.D. in the field of Waste Water Treatment from Bharati Vidyapeeth University College of Engineering, Pune. Born on February 23, 1992, her commitment to academia was evident from the beginning.

Her undergraduate and postgraduate studies provided her with a strong foundation in chemical engineering, laying the groundwork for her future research endeavors. Throughout her educational journey, she exhibited a keen interest in environmental sustainability, particularly in the realm of water treatment. Her academic pursuits were driven by a desire to contribute meaningfully to society by addressing critical environmental challenges.

Joining D.Y. Patil College of Engineering and Technology, Kolhapur, as an Assistant Professor in March 2020, Mrs. Mandale embarked on her professional career.
