Dr. Khaled Essawi is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Laboratory Sciences at Jazan University, Saudi Arabia, where he has served, teaching undergraduate and master’s students while conducting active research in sickle cell disease, anemia, leukemia, and coagulation disorders. He holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from The Catholic University of America (GPA 3.8), an M.S. in Biomedical Science from Quinnipiac University (GPA 3.9), and a B.S. in Medical Laboratory Sciences from King Khalid University. Dr. Essawi has extensive research experience at the NIH (NHLBI), Yale Cancer Center, and international laboratories, with numerous high-impact publications on CRISPR-based gene editing, hematopoietic stem cells, and public health hematology.
