Talita da Silva Loureiro is currently serving as a Senior Technician at the Comissão de Coordenação e Desenvolvimento Rural do Norte (CCDRN) and Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD). In her role, she supports the development of agricultural warning stations, executes prospecting programs for quarantine organisms, and assists in phytosanitary inspections of plant products, including vine, horticultural, ornamental, and fruit vegetative propagation materials. Talita has extensive experience in DNA extraction, PCR, proteomics, microbiology, and plant protection, which she applies to her work in managing and mitigating plant health risks. 🔍 Research and Innovations

Talita da Silva Loureiro has actively contributed to numerous research and innovation projects, completing seven significant projects. Her Master’s thesis at the Department of Veterinary Sciences, UTAD, in collaboration with the Bone Metabolism Laboratory at the University of Dental Medicine of Porto, explored the influence of Diabetes Mellitus on guided bone regeneration. Her PhD research focuses on the epidemiological characterization of Xylella fastidiosa in Northern Portugal, providing critical insights into this pathogen’s impact on agriculture.
