Prof. Zheng earned her Ph.D. in Genetics & Developmental Biology from the Institute of Genetics & Developmental Biology, CAS, between 2001 and 2006. Prior to that, she completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biological Sciences at Central China Normal University (1994-2001).

Since 2012, Prof. Zheng has served as a Principal Investigator at the School of Life Sciences, Fudan University. Her postdoctoral research includes fellowships at the University of California, Berkeley (2009-2012) and the University of California, Riverside (2006-2009).
