Dr. Muhammad Shahriar Bashar is a distinguished Principal Scientific Officer at the Institute of Fuel Research and Development (IERD) within the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR). With over 18 years of expertise in Energy-Nanotechnology and Semiconductor Fabrication, he spearheads the establishment of Bangladesh’s first Thin-film Semiconductor Fabrication Research Laboratory. His pioneering work includes optimizing metal sulfide and oxide thin-film semiconductors, advancing solar cell technologies, and developing energy-efficient devices. Dr. Bashar’s contributions extend to policy formulation in renewable energy and supervising numerous research theses. His accolades include Bangladesh’s first CdTe-based solar cell and innovations in biomass energy, reflecting his commitment to sustainable development and technological advancement.
