Hanna Wilczura-Wachnik is an adiunkt at the University of Warsaw, specializing in the study of colloids, microemulsions, and the interactions of biologically active molecules with membranes. Hanna earned her MSc in 1977 from the University of Warsaw. She pursued her PhD at the same institution, which she completed in 1992. Her doctoral thesis, supervised by Prof. Teresa Kasprzycka-Guttman, was titled “The Enthalpy of Mixing in Associated Binary Systems of Pyridine and its Methyl Derivatives + n-Alkanes.”

Her postdoctoral research took place at the University of Tennessee under the guidance of Prof. Alexander Van Hook, focusing on liquid-liquid equilibrium (LLE) in polymer solutions. Hanna has also participated in short-term internships at various institutions, including the Technical University of Denmark, Syleyman Demirel University in Turkey, and Syddansk Universitet in Denmark. Since 2010, her research has centered on colloids, microemulsions, micellar phases, and the behavior of biologically active molecules in and through membranes.

Hanna is a co-inventor of Polish Patent No. 279254, issued in 1989, for a method of citric acid evolution from aqueous solutions. This patent was developed in collaboration with T. Kasprzycka-Guttman, B. Semeniuk, and M. Myลliลski.
