Since 2022, Dr. Poda has been a postdoctoral fellow at Wageningen University & Research, where he studies in-flight mating in sympatric swarms of Anopheles mosquitoes. Prior to this, he was a PhD student at IRSS (Burkina Faso) and MIVEGEC-IRD, CNRS (France) from 2017 to 2021, focusing on the chemical and visual cues used by Anopheles females. He also worked as a postgraduate fellow at IRSS, investigating the effects of irradiation on the reproductive success of An. arabiensis from 2014 to 2017, and completed various internships related to malaria entomology.
